Phyllis Meshel Onest, M.Div. served the Orthodox Church in the Ministry of Religious Education for over forty years, the last twenty-one as the Director of the Office of Religious Education for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh. As one of the first women graduates of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, she is a pioneer in the area of woman serving the church professionally. She holds BA degree in Mathematics and Biology from Malone University where she also completed Teaching Certificate requirements for Jr. & Sr High School. She is the mother of two married adult daughters, one of whom has given her three grandchildren with which to play. More information can be found elsewhere.
